The Arab Planning Institute (API) held a Training Program on “Banking system development and developmentfinancing mechanisms” for the benefit of the Ministry of Finance during theperiod 19-23/5/2024 in the Republic of Iraq.
The training program aimed to:
- - Highlight the challenges of development financing.
- - Track the main challenges facing the Iraqi bankingsector.
- - Discuss the most important reforms in the banking sector.
- - Discuss the role of the financial market in developingthe banking sector to achieve the SDGs.
- - - Accelerate the greening of monetary policies and assessthe efficiency of alternative financial tools toaccelerate the environmental transition.
- Discuss mechanisms forgreening banking supervision.
