TheArab Planning Institute organized a training program on “Modern Trends inMacroeconomic Modeling and Policy Evaluation” for the benefit of the Ministryof Economy and Finance in Morocco. The program was held in the Institute ofFinance during the period 12/18-22/2023 in the city of Rabat - Kingdom ofMorocco. The program aimed to review modern trends in the field ofmacroeconomic modeling in order to enhance the skills of participants in thedomain of building macroeconomic models through computer-based trainingworkshops on Structural Macroeconomic Models (SEM), Vector Auto Regressive(VAR) models, and Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) models, inorder to use them as quantitative tools to understand macroeconomicinteractions between various economic agents, and how to evaluate public policiesusing these models and data on the Moroccan economy.
