The Arab PlanningInstitute organized a training program for the Economic Council for Developmentand Reconstruction (PECDAR) in the State of Palestine on “DigitalTransformation and Knowledge Management in Municipalities” in Amman - theHashemite Kingdom of Jordan during the period 22-26/5/2022 The program aimed tofamiliarize participants with contemporary concepts In the field of digitaltransformation and knowledge management and the importance of adopting them,their characteristics and added value at the level of municipalities and villagecouncils themselves, their affiliates, citizens and partners, and clarifyingthe importance and justifications for adopting digital transformation andknowledge management in Palestinian municipalities, in addition to discussingthe strategies and policies of the Palestinian government in creating theappropriate environment for digital transformation and knowledge management onthe level of municipalities and village councils, in addition to reviewing anddiscussing the strategic framework of local authorities to transform intodigital municipalities. And discuss local policies for digital transformationand knowledge management to advance the reality of Palestinian municipalitiesto provide services to their citizens with high quality, ease, speed and effectiveness.
