At the invitation of the Institute of National Planning in the Arab Republic of Egypt, delegates of the Arab Planning Institute (API) headed by Dr. Badr Malallah, Director General of the Institute, and members of editorial board of the Arab Development Report including: Dr. Mohammed Amine Lezar (Chairman of the Editorial Board), Dr. Alamedin Bannaga and Dr. Nawaf Abu Shamala completed an official mission to Cairo during the period 24 – 27/3/2022. In the meantime, several meetings were organized to discuss progress achieved on preparation of the first draft of the report, timetable for preparing the final draft and publication and distribution of the report. The API delegates also attended the events of the annual international conference organized by the Institute of National Planning on "Climate Changes and Sustainable Development" in Cairo held during the period 26 -27/3/2022. The conference addressed several important issues related to climate change such as: Expected future effects of climate changes, adaptation policies at international, regional, and local levels, governance, risks and environmental safety.
