The Arab Planning Institute
organized a training program on “Policies for Supporting Knowledge Economy” for
the benefit of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning in Sudan during
the period 17/12- 19/12/2019 in Khartoum.
The program aimed at enabling the participants with the
knowledge and skills required to understanding and analyzing the policies and
strategies that support knowledge economy in Sudan. In addition to examining
the role played by the economic incentives system in this area of
investigation.
The program addressed
several issues related to the methodology of assessing knowledge economy
performance at country and enterprise levels and their application to Sudan.
Moreover, the program presented some of the most
successful international experiences in transformation to knowledge-based
economy and discussed the ways to benefit from them in Sudan.
The program addressed the challenges facing the country in
transforming into knowledge-based economy and identified policies to confront
them. The participants engaged in computer applications focusing on the use of
international databases to analyze knowledge economy status. They presented
their views in different topic of knowledge economy in Sudan through interactive
discussion.
