approaches used in forward-looking studies and future science. The programme

issues and the challenges faced by human beings. The program then focused on
the historical development of Futures Studies and how it began to address
future issues in order to shift towards the study of methodologies and tools
used in future studies to modern scientific approaches and compare them with
standard methods as well as the difference between foresight prediction and
projections.
Special emphasis was given to
the study of the Future of Education in
Jordan. First, a session on how to project population to the year 2050 and
calculate education needs was performed using SPECTRUM software. Then, series
of brain storming sessions were performed to build a future image of the
Jordanian Education System.
