As part of the implementation of the TOT program for small and medium
enterprises (SMEs), the Arab Planning Institute (API) organized a training program on "Innovation
skills and modern training methods" for the benefit of national cadres in
the Arab Republic of Egypt. The activities of the program were organized at the
Institute of National Planning in Cairo,
the Arab Republic of Egypt during the period
from 4/2/2018 to 8/2/2018.
The training program aim was to introduce participants
to the concept of creativity and innovation and the difference between them,
and their urgent necessity as a prerequisite for the knowledge-based economy to
achieve sustainable development, to cope with the rapid global development and
to address the challenges and problems. The program also aimed at facilitating
and accelerating training achievement and how to develop training programs by
introducing innovative methods, such as brain-based training, creativity and
innovation in training, active training skills. The program discussed how the
brain systems is composed as well as the types of memory and their role in the
process of training, as well as the recognition of each of the processes of
creativity and innovation and some images of innovation in training. The program reviewed the five most enriching
programs of creativity and innovation to empower participants with effective
skills in creativity and innovation. The program also included the
identification of all types of modern training methods and their advantages and
disadvantages, such as the special methods for the inside of the training room,
during the work, based on the computer, and training on the Internet, multi-training
and active training methods. Active training methods included a large variety
of styles and games that stimulate positive interaction and participation of
trainees. In addition, the program included an emotional intelligence strategy
in training that ensures effective communication between the trainer and the
trainee and access to his or her potential as a professional and creative
coach. The program included several vocabulary on which the creative trainer
should be familiar, including expected training challenges, all types of
trainees, their qualities and how to deal with them, as well as the types of
trainers, the characteristics of the ideal trainer and the common mistakes in
training, in addition to the modern methods of evaluating the training and
measuring its return and the ethics of the training profession. All the
vocabulary included in this program is a complete set of innovative training methods that ensure that
the trainee's thinking, feelings and understanding of his abilities and personality
style are more focused, attentive and interactive, leading to the active
participation of the trainees, the acceleration of training achievements
