The Arab Planning Institute organized on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 a one day Workshop on "The Evaluation of development policies in the Republic of Tunisia" with the collaboration of the Ministry of Development, Investment and International Cooperation. The workshop dealt with important issues covering the inclusive and job rich growth, monetary and financial policies, industrial and foreign trade policies, in addition to the evaluation of institutional and sartorial reforms. The attendance to the workshop was outstanding and gathered high level personal from the Ministry of Development, Investment and International Cooperation, Ministry of Finance and the Tunisian Institute of Competitiveness and Quantitative Studies and others ministries. Their participation highly enriched the dialogue. Important recommendations were made. They included the need to move towards implementing comprehensive strategic and indicative planning system, and accelerate reforms. The recommendations also emphasized the role of policy monitoring aiming at increasing effectiveness and to better deal with the severe developmental challenges. Participants praised the role of such workshops in promoting national dialogue as well as the role played by the API, emphasizing the need to upgrade its partnership with the Tunisian Republic, through the Ministry of Development, investment and international towards more in-depth consulting studies and institutional capacity-building
