Arab Planning Institute (API) held a training program on “Crisis management and the preparation and implementation of development projects and programs “for the benefit of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation - in the Republic of Yemen. which was held in the city of Amman - The Hashemite Kingdom, During the period from 30/9/2016 to 8/10/2016. The main objective of this prepared for the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation program in the Republic of Yemen, is give participants skills in crisis management and how to deal with it, and by providing a number of topics related to the program, including: definition of the concept of management crisis and how to deal with it, and assess the potential risks and threats, as well as identification of assessing the magnitude of the crisis methods. In addition to the program gave a detailed presentation on the international experience in crisis management in order to benefit from them. But in addition to that, the program touched on the success of the various models for crisis management requirements. At the end of the first component of the program was to provide a workshop for the management of the crisis, and the simulation model a real crisis with the participants represent roles. The second component of the program, focused on the practical aspect of the rebuilding / reconstruction program in Yemen, a country that has been torn with war. Basic needs assessment was performed according to area, the participants identified five projects in this areas: Electricity power station, water desalination, public government building reconstruction, private citizens housing for the displaced citizens or refugees or internally displaced, and finally educational complex to enhance the education process in Yemen.
