Arab Planning Institute organized a training program on "Islamic Finance Challenges in Periods of Economic Downturn" during the period from 14/2 to 16/2/2016 for the benefit of the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA) at its Headquarters.
The program's goal is to discuss and examine aspects of the Islamic finance industry and the definition of the global market for Islamic finance and to discuss the challenges facing the Islamic finance in periods of economic downturn. It is addressed elements of the Islamic finance industry and its components on the first day, as well as the parameters of the global market for Islamic finance and the definition of tools and mechanisms of Islamic finance.
On the second day, it dealt with the definition of the types of Islamic financial institutions and discussed the aspects and prospects of Islamic finance, as well as the challenges and constraints of Islamic finance, especially in times of economic downturn.
The program discussed on the third day, the effects of the global financial crisis on Islamic finance and Islamic finance market and the possibility of achieving financial inclusion in the growth periods of economic slowdown. This is in addition to the discussion of the prospects and the role of Islamic finance in periods of economic slowdown.
