Arab Planning Institute (API) held a training program on program on “Mechanisms to promote Arab economic cooperation “for the benefit of the Commercial Representation Office of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt state of  Kuwait, in the Arab Republic of Egypt. During the period from 14/2/2016 to 18/2/2016.
 
The program aims to familiarize participants with the status quo of Arab cooperation, which is measure through trade and investment indicators, manufacturing, agriculture cooperation and manufacturing value added between countries and what has been achieved over the past five decades, 1965-2015, and the promise of identifying bottlenecks and challenges existing and how to deal with them strategically.

The program also aims to focus on Inter-Arab Trade in goods and services with a focus on commercial and industrial, and the Arab agricultural sector and trade in service. The program focused on analyzing the manufacturing, agriculture, and investment reality and Challenges for Strategic and tracks needed to strengthen Arab cooperation, This program addresses the importance of activating the axis of the joint inter-Arab investments, structure and challenges and the reality of the joint direct investment, and investment projects and development of Arab joint, Mechanisms to strengthen and increase the size of the Arab investment flows through the cooperation of Arab joint investment bodies and investment maps and the project profiling.

 The program focused on projections experiences and global trading blocs on common Arab cooperation and development efforts: Types of trading blocs that could benefit from Arab development cooperation with a focus on the importance and role of these conglomerates realistically illustrate important and useful, including the Arab countries, taking into account the differences in models and different challenges that could be faced with the Arab countries in their application.
