Arab Planning Institute organized a training program on "Institutional Support for Small and Medium Enterprises, SMEs" for the benefit of the National Planning Institute in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt, during the period from 01.17.2016-01/21/2016.
The program's goal to familiarize participants with the the concept of institutional and technical support and business development services and its role in the development of SMEs. In particular, the goal to introduce the concept of SMEs subdivisions, characteristics and constraints of the elements of growth and success of projects, in addition to the role of relevant government and non-governmental institutions. As a goal to publicize the types of business development and market these services and their impact on the recipients and obstacles institution services obtained and mechanisms to overcome these constraints. The program also presents the concept of business incubators and small and medium enterprises, and types, and economic and social objectives, methods and ways of funding and skills assessment, in addition to the services provided by these incubators and their role in the SMEs development. The program also introduced some successful Arab and international experiences, skills and mechanisms to take advantage of them. We also discussed the business environment in the Arab countries and the role of government in creating a suitable environment for the growth and development of these projects, and provided the trainees with skills analysis of the reality of the investment environment in the Arab state and comparison skills and presentation skills and presentation study. The training program achieves its objectives earlier if the participants were able to identify SMEs the needs of these services and are able to develop appropriate to provide them with these services and skills to evaluate the impact of these services mechanisms, in addition to the establishment of an enterprise specialized skills to provide technical support.
