Planning Institute organized a training program on "Data Analysis and
Macroeconomic and International Reports Preparation Skills" for the Ministry
of Human Development and Labor in Khartoum, Sudan, during 12/27/2015
12/31/2015.
The
program's goal is to provide the participants with the necessary knowledge and
information about the most important macroeconomic data and indicators, and
skills to collect, display and analyze the economic and social data and methods
of presentation of results. The program aims in particular to the statement of
the types and divisions and sources of economic and social data on the level of
the economy or industry and how to obtain them from various sources, and
methods of collection of such data and the mechanism for compiling and
presenting. The program aims to co-determine how the objectives of the process
of economic analysis to help, and then assist in determining the required data
sources and collection methods, and then determine which indicators should be
calculated so that it is employed to serve the aim of data analysis process.
The program also will provide participants with the approaches and writing skills
and display the results of the analysis in the form of reports and in excess of
the rates of utilization.
It
also aimed to identification of the most important international economic
reports and the statement of the importance of these reports for researchers
and policy makers, the authors of the economic plans. Specifically, it aims to
provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to analyze the
results of the international reports and use them for the benefit of their
organizations, and to explain the methodology of each report and the indicators
used in each of them and how to calculate it. It also aimed to instruct
participants on how to compare these indicators between countries and how to
make recommendations to modify the value indicators are improving the order of
these countries in these reports and supports economic and social development
process.
