Arab Planning Institute (API) has conducted a training
program, entitled “stages and social ” for
the, methods of
economic and social planning” for the benefit of staff working in the Ministry of
Human Development and Labor of the Republic of Sudan in Khartoum, during the
period December 6 to 10 , 2015. The program aims to identify the types, stages,
objectives of, and justification for economic and social planning process at
the macro and sectoral levels and at the project level. It also aims to offer
development policies and methods used in each stage of the process to determine
the rates of performance in the plan drawing mechanisms, to include economic
and social aspects of planning. The program also aims to familiarize
participants and workers in the field of planning the most important methods
used for the formulation of economic and social plans, and most important of
linear programming techniques, and methods of input and output, and standard
methods, in addition to the statement of the importance of the consistency of
the sectoral growth through the use of relevant methods. And attention to
projects linking the objectives of sectoral and macro mechanism. The program
also shows the role of the state and the private sector and civil society
organizations in the planning process for the development and the foundations
of the success of this process.
