Arab Planning Institute (API) has conducted a Training Program, entitled “Strategic Planning” upon a request from the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development, Kuwait, 18 – 28 October, 2015, at the API premises.
The program devoted to present and explain the main concepts related to the “Strategic Planning”, with special reference to the “Indicative Planning”. The attention is paid, in this week, as well, to the structure and content of the current Five Year Plan 2015/2016 – 2019/2020, economic policies and social objectives.
In addition, the program oriented towards the project level. The concept of performance indicators is presented, and analyzed. A special reference is paid to the developmental project appraisal. A number of feasibility study criteria are highlighted. Beside, an elaborated case study is discussed. An open discussion session, on development projects covered by the current plan, is organized by the end of this week.
