(API) organized a Training Program on "Competitiveness Policies" for the benefit of Institute of National Planning in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The Arab Planning Institute (API) organized a Training Program on "Competitiveness Policies" for  the  benefit  of Institute of National Planning in the Arab Republic of Egypt, during the period from 11/10  to 15/10/2015.
 The program aims to familiarize the trainees with the concept of competitiveness and how it is measured and the development of composite indicators with a detailed review of the most important indicators used by decision-makers in the evaluation of the competitiveness . In addition competitiveness indicators for Egypt are studied as well as foreign trade structure and productivity indicators. The program presents a package of measures aiming at strengthening the competitiveness through functional policies, and capacity through modern industrial policy. Finally, the program displays the role and the importance of foreign direct investment in the transfer of knowledge and the promotion of economic competitiveness.
