The SMEs center in the Arab Planning Institute held a training program “Technical Support Systems for SMEs” in cooperation with Oman chamber of commerce and Industry in Dhofar during the period 24-28 May 2015 . The program aims to analyze Business Development Services market (BDS), determine SMEs needs of BDS and technical support, analyze the status of institutional support delivered to SMEs in the Arab countries and to evaluate the mechanisms that are used technical support institutions. It also discusses the importance of business incubators in supporting and developing startups and the ways to maximize SMEs benefits by following up the international best practices. Finally, it presents the status of Arab countries in general and Oman in particular in Doing Business Report and how to ease doing business for SMEs.
