The SMEs center in the Arab Planning Institute organizes a training program in cooperation with the Social Development Foundation in Sudan on SMEs development and finance during the period 14-18 Dec 2014. The program aims to analyze sources of SMEs finance in the Arab countries and the mechanisms that can be used to enhance the delivery of financial services. It also discusses the methods that are used to estimate SMEs financial needs, the finance gap, and the role of loan guarantee schemes in bridging the gap. It also discusses Islamic Methods of finance and its applicability in case of SMEs. The program also discusses stages of strategic planning for the SMEs sector and the mechanisms of enhancing its performance and role in development.
