The Arab Planning Institute organizes a training
program in cooperation with the Development
and Employment Fund in Jordan during the period 28/9 to 2/10/2014.
The program aims to analyze sources of SMEs finance in the Arab countries and
the mechanisms that can be used to enhance the delivery of financial services.
It also discusses the methods that are used to estimate SMEs financial needs,
the finance gap, and the role of loan guarantee schemes in bridging this gap.
It also discusses the Islamic Methods of finance and their applicability in
case of SMEs. Finally, participants were able to determine all stages of
establishing a financial institution specialized in SMEs finance.
