In corporation with the International Monetary Fund Fiscal Affairs
Department (IMF-FAD) and the IMF-Middle East Center for Economics and Finance
(IMF-CEF), the Arab Planning Institute (API),) had held an IMF outreach seminar
on “Fiscal policy and income inequality” on May 7th, 2014.
During the seminar, Dr. Bader Mallalah (Director General, API) and
Dr. Philippe Karam (Acting Director, IMF-CEF) gave short opening remarks related to the main subject, then Dr. Stefania Fabrizio (Deputy
Division Chief, IMF-FAD) gave a short presentation, followed by a discussion
presented by Dr. Kalanidhi Subbarao (Senior consultant, formerly World Bank).
